FanCode announces strategic tie-up with Camb.AI

FanCode has entered into a strategic partnership with Camb.AI to bring multilingual, AI-powered live sports commentary to Indian audiences. The announcement was made on the sidelines of the IBC Convention 2025.

The collaboration aims to revolutionize sports broadcasting in India by offering real-time, AI-driven commentary across multiple Indian languages. Fans will experience a broadcast enhanced by features such as male and female commentary voices, authentic background crowd noise, and real-time advertisements that mirror the energy of traditional coverage.

Press release confirms details of partnership

A press release issued Sunday outlined the vision behind the agreement and featured statements from both companies’ leadership teams.

Yannick Colaco, co-founder of FanCode, said, “As a leading sports-tech platform, we take great pride in constantly innovating to enhance how fans experience sport. We are delighted to work with like-minded partners in CAMB.AI and use AI to revolutionise sports broadcasting in India. With India’s incredible linguistic diversity, it’s exciting to see fans now follow the action in the language of their choice. Our teams will continue working together to build more such AI-led solutions that brings fans closer to the game.”

Akshat Prakash, co-founder and CTO of Camb.AI, added, “Sports are universal, but language has always been a barrier to scale. With FanCode, we are proving that AI can deliver real-time multilingual commentary at broadcast-grade quality, making every ball of a cricket match accessible and engaging to all fans. This partnership is validation of our growth strategy in India’s sports ecosystem.”

Expanding reach across Indian sports

FanCode, part of the Dream Sports group, streams more than 17,000 live games annually across cricket, football, motorsport, and other sports, including over 6,000 cricket matches. Its rights portfolio features global events like LaLiga, Formula One, MotoGP, and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Camb.AI, meanwhile, has established itself as a leader in speech-to-speech translation technology. Its platform supports real-time dubbing in more than 150 languages and has been deployed by Major League Soccer, Eurovision Sport, and Tennis Australia. The company was also included in SportsPro’s 20 sports tech ideas to invest in now and selected for Comcast NBCUniversal’s SportTech accelerator in 2025.

Already tested in live matches

The two companies have already piloted their AI-commentary solution during the 2025 Caribbean Premier League, where Hindi commentary was powered entirely by Camb.AI technology.

With the partnership now formalized, FanCode is expected to expand the rollout of AI-led multilingual commentary across a wider range of sports, reflecting the growing demand for localized and personalized fan experiences in India.
