DSF is working towards its mission to positively impact and provide sustainable growth impetus to deserving individuals, societies, bodies and organisations by focussing primarily on the following verticals.
Helping budding and talented athletes realise their true potential and reach greater heights.
Introducing programs to facilitate participation across all sports at the grassroots level.
Setting up world-class sporting facilities to benefit the community at large and help realise our vision of a free-to-use, gold standard multi-sport academy.
Providing relief and support to people across India during difficult and uncertain times.
Contribution to ACT Grants and GiveIndia, 2021
DSF has committed a sum of INR 7.5 crore each to ACT Grants and GiveIndia in our fight against Covid-19. Approximately 50% of this corpus was used towards immediate medical support such as equipment, infrastructure, oxygen needs and testing, while the balance 50% went towards boosting preventive measures such as vaccination drives, camps, and training.
Rani Laxmibai Sanstha, Bihar, 2020 - 2021
Since 2020, our "Back on Track" program, in collaboration with the Rani Laxmi Bai Sports Academy, Bihar, has equipped and empowered 55 young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds, to overcome various odds and play football and handball at national as well as international levels. Today, they have access to high-quality sports kits and uniforms, fit for players of their talent. Additionally, the monetary support provided by the foundation has helped them maintain good nutritional levels.
Stars of Tomorrow, 2018 - 2021
As part of a three-year partnership with GoSports Foundation, we have aided the training of multiple athletes who have now won 95 medals in total. One of them, Nethra Kumanan, recently became the first-ever Indian woman sailor to qualify for the Olympics. Currently, we are training 14 talented athletes across seven sports (squash, sailing, tennis, golf, archery, sport climbing and swimming) as part of our long term athlete development program.
DSF Back on Track, 2020 - 2021
Seeing the difficult times we are in, we launched our flagship sports support program in September 2020 to help people associated with the Indian Sports ecosystem, financially or otherwise. Till now, we have supported 4300+ individuals and 16 organisations from 29 different sports across 24 states and three union territories.
